Coach Varela was part of 7 consecutive trips to the state tournament while coaching at Borah. He was also part of three straight trips to the State Championship game, where the Lions won back-to-back state championships. Varsity Assistant Coach
Coach Paul Perotto is now in his 10th year as the varsity assistant. The success that the "new" coaching staff had in their inaugural season was due in large part to the personality and demeanor that Coach Perotto brought to the program. Coach Perotto exemplifies the 4 B's of the Brave Program. His example is one that Brave players can feel confident in following. In 2015 he was named the National Jump Rope/Hoops for Heart Coordinator of the Year... he has raised over 115,000 dollars for the program in the 7 years that he has led it.
Coach Perotto is a graduate of Boise High School and wants to contribute to the success of the Boys Basketball Program. He sets aside time with his wife and 4 kids to mentor young men into adulthood.
